Cairngorms National Park signs up to international biodiversity declaration

The Cairngorms National Park Authority has signed up to a new international commitment to help tackle the loss of biodiversity.

The local conservation body joins the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority in becoming official signatories of the Edinburgh Declaration.

The declaration, which the Scottish Government published in August 2019, is a statement of intent outlining how subnational governments and local authorities will work together to take bold action on the problem.
