TweedStart is holding an Open Day just for adults next Saturday, 22nd September.
The free event will be held at TweedStart’s base at The Roxburghe Ponds specifically for adults who would like a fly fishing taster session. TweedStart runs many days during the spring and summer aimed at getting children in the Tweed catchment interested in the River and fishing and, with this session, hopes that adults who have wanted to try fishing will feel able to come along and try their hand.
All adults are welcome to come along at any time during the day to learn more about the River. The event will include:
- Qualified instructors to teach fly casting technique
- Entomology and bug life
- Fly dressing
- River conservation
- Experts on hand to offer advice on the next step
