After such a fine December and January, it seems slightly unfair that as soon as the season opens we get nothing but spates. This weekend the river rose to the highest it has been since last September, 2.25 M. There is plenty of water in the Insh Marches so it might take some time to drop back to a good fishable level. The forecast for the coming week is for some precipitation on Monday, either rain or snow, drier the rest of the week but remaining cold with temperatures remaining close to freezing.
