River Nairn Season Opens Members of the the Nairn Angling Association gathered at Victoria Bridge in Nairn on Saturday the 3rd March to open the fishing season. Findhorn Fishery B0ard bailiff, Alastair Skinner, welcomed all with a short and amusing speech and then opened the season in the traditional way by pouring a good dram in to the fast flowing waters. Despite the frosty temperatures a few anglers went on to have a cast on the opening day, no reports of any fresh run salmon but a few well mended kelts were caught. Tight lines for the 2018 season!
