Bob Laughton will be leading a guided walk along the banks of the River Findhorn on Saturday the 18th June for the Moray Walking Festival.  Join Bob to find out more about the river, and to enjoy a gentle stroll.  The walk will start at the Recycling Centre on Waterford Road, Forres and loop round via the A96 bridge.  Bob will be highlighting the natural history, the recent flood alleviation scheme and the challenges of restoring the native vegetation along the banks- under attack by non-native plants such as giant hogweed and Japanese knotweed.  Bob will demonstrate fish and invertebrate sampling to reveal what lives beneath the ripples.

Tickets cost £6 and are available through the www.moraywalkingfestival.co.uk website
