A TOTAL of £1520 has been raised by Coul Fishings on the River Conon in support of the Missing Salmon Alliance (MSA), a group of Britain’s leading conservation organisations focussed on salmon.

Raising funds for the fourth year running, Coul Fishings has now donated a total of £7,200 to this important cause.

John Macaskill, head ghillie at Coul Fishings, River Conon, said: “I am delighted to announce that Coul Fishings, with the kind permission of proprietor David Flux, has once again raised £1520 through our annual charity raffle week.

“Our charity week provides local anglers a chance to fish the river at a prime time of year while also raising money to support the Missing Salmon Alliance. I feel it is extremely important to once again support the Missing Salmon Alliance in enabling them to combine the expertise of organisations such as the Atlantic Salmon Trust, the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, Fisheries Management Scotland, Angling Trust, the Rivers Trust and Fish Legal to coordinate activities and provide effective management solutions to help protect and hopefully enhance our iconic wild Atlantic Salmon.”
