A REMOTE Sutherland estate has taken delivery of a boat specially designed for disabled anglers.
The Coulam 16 “Wheelyboat” was launched on a loch at Badanloch Estate, west of Kinbrace, on Monday with around 25 people in attendance, including Michael Wigan, manager of Helmsdale River Board.
Lord Leverhulme’s Charitable Trust provided grant aid to purchase the £14,000 vessel which came complete with outboard, trailer, seats and safety equipment.
It has been named Sally, in memory of the late Sally McCorquodale who had a strong association with the Strath of Kildonan.
