It was a wintery week but not that startling for late February into March in Scotland. Fishing was curtailed as the temperatures fell causing rod rings to freeze and the river suffered from some grue. If next weeks forecast is to be believed there could be a spate the following week, but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. The wintery conditions, although frustrating for anglers, were picturesque but the wildlife found conditions more troublesome, it is not that common to see bramblings at the bird table. The oystercatchers might be wondering why they left the coast now.…
