A FISHERY board in Ross-shire has warned patrols across the widespread area it covers will continue to crack down on illegal fishing.
The Cromarty Firth Fishery Board and Trust made the announcement following what it described as “an incident” on one of the rivers in the district.
It said:”Police Scotland have been proactive this week and have carried out patrols targetting illegal fishing.
“Board staff have a good working relationship with Police Scotland and we are always grateful for the ongoing support they give us. More patrols are planned and are not limited to just one river.”
It added: “Please remember illegal fishing is a #wildlifecrime.”
