Summary

This national project raised awareness of biosecurity risks to Scotland’s wild fish and freshwater habitats. Fisheries Management Scotland (FMS) worked with our network of members and other partners to develop engaging, easy-to-use resources that highlight the dangers of invasive non-native species, pink salmon incursions, and fish diseases. The project created waterproof posters, durable signs, and freely downloadable materials promoting simple “Check-Clean-Dry” prevention measures. It also promoted an online reporting tool and mobile app to encourage early reporting of pink salmon, invasive species, or signs of fish disease.
