Summary
The project “Developing a Scottish Source to Sea Nature Finance Model” laid the foundations for the establishment of a funding framework that will enable FMS’s members and others to deliver locally tailored solutions to sustain healthy ecologically functioning river systems. The project sought to build on the success of the Scottish Marine Environmental Enhancement Fund (SMEEF) to make recommendations for a ”Source to Sea” funding model whose scope includes both the marine environment and freshwater, addressing ecological connectivity throughout the aquatic environment.
