Our Board
The Board of Fisheries Management Scotland is responsible for the strategic leadership of the organisation. It is made up of nine elected members appointed by our membership at the Annual General Meeting. In addition, the Board may appoint up to three co-opted members to bring additional expertise or enhance geographical coverage.

Our Committees
Fisheries Management Scotland’s constitution specifically allows committees to be formed at the discretion of the Board. These committees bring together specialist knowledge from across our membership to guide policy development and strategic action:
- Scottish Fisheries Coordination Centre (SFCC)
- Fish Farming Committee
- Fisheries Enforcement Committee
- Hydro Committee
- Inshore Fisheries Management Committee
Our Constitution and Articles
Fisheries Management Scotland is limited company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC587127) governed by Articles of Association and detailed governance rules, which cover:
- Membership and representation
- Board appointments and powers
- Committee formation and operation
- Financial management
We are committed to ensuring fair working practices and advance the Fair Work First criteria across our operations. We are covered by the requirements of the Lobbying (Scotland) Act 2016 in all our advocacy work, and ensure ongoing compliance with all legal, financial and operational standards.
Financial Information
Our financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March. We publish our financial statements annually in line with regulatory requirements.
