Earlier today we completed our 30th site for the National Electrofishing Programme (NEPS), all that remains is for the site information to be uploaded to the database now. The final site was on the Glazert Burn, a feeder burn of the Annick Water. A single trout was all we managed from what is a really degraded habitat.  There were the obligatory minnows of course but one trout from a large site like this is really rather disappointing but not unsurprising. The bed of the river is thick with silt masking all the substrates. There is little habitat for fish here…
